Skullcandy In-Ear Electric shocks: not fun.

Last modified on:

Gemma bought me a pair of Skullcandy Full Metal Jacket headphones for Christmas which were gratefully received – they sounded great and they had a mic / button to control my iPhone. A couple of weeks later and they weren’t going so great: I was being electrocuted by my headphones! One of the buds would constantly shock me and then stopped working. Brilliant.

I sent them back, but the store didn’t have stock so I got a refund. A couple of weeks later I got a new pair as they did sound good and they looked cool – I thought the fault may have been a one-off. My new pair arrived on Sunday. Today I was electrocuted in the same ear again. Fantastic.

I had a little look around to see if this was a one off, but no, I quickly found a few others who had had similar problems with the same model, and a few who had the same issue with other Skullcandy headphones:

Well, thanks Skullcandy – You’ve been crap. I don’t think I’ll ever want to buy another product from you ever again. Now to try and get a refund… I definitely don’t want a replacement!
