Some things to note:
Uninstall cd /usr/local
ls –l
Delete file /library/Receipts/mysql**.pkg
sudo rm –R mysql….
Then delete the other one too.
Locate directory locate *mysqld*
Change directory: cd /usr/local/mysql
Connect to test database: /usr/local/mysql/bin//mysql test
